Our Mission & Programs
Our non-profit organization is dedicated to "reaching the unreachable" — improving the quality of life for youth in economically disadvantaged communities through education, support, and genuine human connection.
Our Focus
Our organization provides comprehensive support services to youth in communities affected by poverty, crime, and high school dropout rates. We are committed to serving underserved populations by addressing critical gaps in financial education, mental health support, emotional literacy, and mentorship.
Many young people in these communities lack access to the resources needed for long-term stability and success. We aim to change that by offering counseling, educational tools, and consistent mentorship — especially for youth who are at risk or involved in juvenile justice systems.
Through a holistic and proactive approach, we empower young people with the skills, guidance, and support needed to build healthier, more stable futures.
Our Mission
Our mission is to break cycles of poverty, lack of opportunity, and systemic disadvantage by equipping young people with the knowledge, support, and mentorship they need to thrive. Through education and empowerment, we strive to create lasting positive change in underserved communities.
We provide financial education focused on core economic principles, budgeting, saving, and long-term investment strategies such as stocks and bonds. Alongside financial literacy, we prioritize emotional literacy and mental wellness by offering ongoing support services that promote healing, resilience, and personal growth.
Through education and empowerment, we strive to create lasting positive change in underserved communities.
"Reaching the Unreachable is built on the belief that no one is born bad or evil. Many individuals who engage in harmful behavior have simply adapted to unresolved trauma and environments where support was missing. Too often, people are left behind or labeled as 'too far gone.' Our mission is to challenge that belief."

What We Offer
Each program is designed to address a specific gap — and together they create a holistic pathway toward stability, growth, and self-sufficiency.
We teach core economic principles, personal budgeting, saving strategies, and long-term investment concepts including stocks and bonds. Financial knowledge that can change a family's trajectory for generations.
Ongoing counseling and emotional support services that promote healing, resilience, and personal growth. We believe emotional wellbeing is the foundation for every other kind of success.
Long-term, consistent mentorship for youth — especially those at risk or involved in the juvenile justice system. Real relationships with people who have walked similar paths and come out the other side.
Developed by advisor Sam Brown in 2014, the 10P Program promotes emotional literacy and demonstrates that personal change is achievable. Originally designed for New Folsom Prison, it now has a 10-year waitlist at Lancaster State Prison and has expanded to multiple institutions.

From homeless services to food banks to DMV access and mental health referrals, our team connects underserved community members to the full range of services they need to stabilize and move forward.
Current Campaign
Artificial intelligence and emerging technologies are transforming every industry at a pace never seen before in human history. For communities with access to education and resources, this represents incredible opportunity. For lower-income households, schools, and communities, it represents a very real risk of being permanently left behind.
The families we serve are already navigating systemic barriers to education and opportunity. A technology revolution that passes them by entirely would compound those disadvantages for a generation or more.
That's why we are accelerating our learning programs right now. We are expanding our curriculum to include digital literacy, AI awareness, and technology-adjacent job skills so that the communities we serve aren't just surviving today's challenges — they're prepared for tomorrow's economy.
We need funding to hire educators, develop curriculum, and extend our reach into more schools and community centers across Sacramento and beyond. We also need volunteers who care — professionals with skills in tech, education, finance, or simply a heart for community work.
Every dollar goes directly toward program delivery, curriculum development, and reaching more young people in underserved communities.

Volunteers are the heartbeat of Reaching the Unreachable. Whether you have expertise in finance, education, technology, mental health, or simply a willingness to show up — we have a place for you.
Our volunteers help feed the homeless, facilitate workshops, mentor young people one-on-one, and connect community members with services they need. No experience in the non-profit sector is required — only commitment and care.
If you are a professional in technology, finance, or education, your skills are especially valuable as we expand our learning programs to prepare communities for the AI-driven economy ahead.
Donate
Financial contributions allow us to hire educators, develop curriculum, provide counseling services, and reach more young people across Sacramento and California's underserved communities.
We are a lean, community-run organization. Your dollars go directly to program delivery — not overhead. Every contribution, at any level, makes a tangible difference in the life of a young person who has been written off by the systems that were supposed to serve them.
We are currently focused on expanding our learning programs to address the technology gap. Your support today is an investment in the next generation of California's workforce and community leaders.
